The second novella in this book, Moonlight Shadow, GUTTED me. I ugly cried in my room for like 10 minutes after finishing it. A beautiful book about love, death, grief, letting go and moving on.
Convenience Store Woman - Sayaka Murata
I think I read this book during just the right time in my life. I felt very seen after finishing it. This book is about living an "unconventional" life as a woman and learning to understand that your life doesn't need to "make sense" to anyone but you.
Monstrilio - Gerardo Sámano Córdova
This book is so fucking good. I can't wait for Gerardo's next book to come out.
Octavia E. Butler: Kindred, Fledgling, Collected Stories (LOA #338)
A collection of stories from Octavia Butler that I really enjoyed. I think about "Bloodchild" a lot.
Never Let Me Go - Kazuo Ishiguro
There's something about Ishiguro's writing in this book that feels like a trance to me. I cried at the ending.
